The firm brought over Mike Hue from ABN Amro PB and announced other senior management changes.

Changes at the top for Rothschild WM in Asia

Mike Hue, new head of Singapore at Rothschild Wealth Management

Hue will serve as Rothschild Wealth Management’s Singapore head. He replaced Elizabeth Hart, who relocated to Zurich as a senior client adviser. He will be overseeing the business in Southeast Asia.

Hue’s most recent role was senior business manager at ABN Amro PB, where he worked for seven years.

Tang Kei Meng became the firm’s new senior client advisor.

In addition, Audrey Zau has been promoted to the head of Asia, a newly-created role based in Hong Kong. She started at the firm as the head of North Asia last October.

Zau will remain Hong Kong-based to “provide better co-ordination across teams where our senior people have networks, prospects and clients across the region”, a spokeswoman said.

She added that with the new appointments, Rothschild is positioning for the next phase of growth. The firm believes its operating model in Asia “does not have the huge local overhead of the foreign private banks".

Instead, "the offices in Hong Kong and Singapore are our ‘windows’ to Asian clients for our European platform. We will progressively increase headcount in the offices of Hong Kong and Singapore as demand continues to increase.”

Earlier this year, Rothschild also appointed Henry Ho, a former Temasek executive, as non-executive chairman for Southeast Asia.
