Duncan’s appointment is effective on April 4. In the interim, deputy CEO Jean François Baralon will serve as CEO, the firm said.

Duncan is a dual French and US citizen. Previously he was at Quilter Cheviot IM in London, where he was chief operating officer. He also served as chief investment officer at Cambridge Place IM and before that at Goldman Sachs, where he held various positions in the capital markets sector.

Duncan is tasked with driving the asset management firm’s international growth as well as continuing the integration of the firm within Natixis Global Asset Management's global multi-affiliate business model, according to a statement.

The resignation of former CEO Voisin was confirmed to Reuters on March 11. The firm did not comment on the reasons for his resignation.
