BNP Paribas WM names NRI business head

Singh joins the firm from JP Morgan Private Bank, where he worked as executive director. He has about 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry and has previously worked with Barclays Wealth, HSBC Bank and ABN AMRO Private Bank.

Singh is responsible for building and managing a team of relationship managers serving the wealthy NRI segment in Southeast Asia, with a focus on Singapore.

He is based in Singapore and reports to Masroor Batin, head of NRI clients.

“Over the past few years, we have made significant strides and progress in building the business,” Batin said.

“A key part of the strategy involves strengthening client coverage and enhancing engagement within the NRI segment.”

In May, the firm named Samir Bimal as managing director and head of Indian markets and appointed Himanshu Mehta as managing director and chief executive for its wealth management business in India.

BNP Paribas Wealth Management had €332bn ($374.4bn) worth of assets under management as of March 2015.
